Welcome to my newsletter, the first of 2011.

I was approached in October last year to go to a Greek Island to shoot this rather attractive 1966 Camper & Nicholson. We arrived in Athens at 4 am one morning. Having had about 2 hours sleep I rendezvoused with the helicopter to take the short hop to the Island off which the yacht was ready to get underway. Meanwhile my assistant took all the rest of the gear on the dolphin ferry to meet us later. Amazingly the sun popped out from the rather dull clouds, which had been ever present on the way over. So we were able to get some really good underway shots.
I was then dropped off on a rock by the helicopter and picked by a tender. We spent the next 3 days moored in a very picturesque deserted bay where we shot the interiors and a few more atmospheric sunset exteriors.

Last year I shot my first job for Heesen; the lovely Sky designed by NewYork architects Mojo Stumer.
We shot her off Antibes and used the town as the back drop. Had a really great time working with Sara Gioanola from Heesen, we had to go shopping in Antibes to style the yacht as the owners hadn't moved any of their items in at the time.

Hopefully we should be shooting the recent launching by Bannenberg & Rowell over the coming weeks. They finished an 85m Lurssen late last year and we are waiting to arrange a rendezvous. Here is the last project I shot for Bannenberg & Rowell; the award winning Elandess by Abeking & Rasmussen:
